Bank transfers
One item on my wish list for 2012 is that what is mandated in the UK comes to pass here as regards the limit to one day on the transfer of funds from one bank to another.
With all the expenditure the banks boast they make in IT, it seems that in this regard both customers and shareholders are not reaping the benefits.

There is an additional charge for "speed"-of course! How could the poor Banks make a profit and survive otherwise!!

Your wish has already been granted sir .As this same-day transfer is available but at great cost to a customer but you may wish to direct your query to HSBC(The World's Local Bank).who do operate this service free of charge to UK customers of the bank)The bank may impose or subject their life-blood, aka customers- to a myriad of unfair .unjust terms and conditions of operation simply becaus ethey can and with impunity -for who is stopping them and ensuring probity and accountable terms and conditions to consumers?

Simple. You have a choice - use another bank.
