Fr Ignatius Micallef, MSSP, celebrated his 60th anniversary as a priest on December 22.

Fr Micallef was one of three priests ordained together. The other two were Fr Stanley Tomlin, who died on May 4, 2010, and Fr Claudio Borg, who lives in Australia.

Fr Ignatius, 85, was born in Tarxien on March 20, 1926.

Fr Ignatius has been living at the MSSP retreat house, Dar Stella Maris, in Żebbuġ, Gozo, for the past 19 years.
