Air Malta flight KM102 to London was forced to return to Malta this evening because of a technical problem.

The Airbus A320 took off shortly after 5 p.m. and the problem was detected soon after.

Air Malta said the aircraft returned to Malta as a precautionary measure due to technical reasons. 

Following an aircraft change, flight KM 102/3 took off with a two hour delay.
