Litter louts
The Msida local council is ever so prompt to have its wardens book offenders for parking contraventions in and around Victor Denaro and Zaccheus streets, although, more often than not, these are not causing any obstructions whatsoever
If only they could show some efficiency to book the irresponsible residents who make no effort to abide by the existing garbage collection regulations and insist on disposing of their litter anywhere outside, at any time of the day or night.

Traffic Wardens are apt to draw some hatred from the public with present practise (Of course we should hate no person, but certain actions are not always according to reason). Why shouldn't FIRST OFFENDERS be given a warning instead of being fined straightaway? With a database in their pockets, Wardens can easily know whether a person is repeating an offence or not. Even the law courts are more lenient with first offenders. What is the main aim of having Traffic Wardens? Is it money-making? Or is it educating the public to better discipline and self control? With so many 'road-signs' along, should a driver be looking at them all? Should he do this every time he drives (for any new road-sign, behind which some warden may be hiding, sword in hand)?
