I see its only till the end of June then - - - and nothing to London. To travel to see our family its cheaper to go to Gatwick, hire a car and pay for a hotel stay than it is to book charter flight seats direct to Norwich. Bonkers.

I spend 8-10 weeks over the year in Malta - Air Malta scrapped glasgow as an unprofitable destination - but how come Ryanair can make 2 flights each way from Edinburgh and 2 flights from glasgow Prestwick if there is not demand - something wrong I think with Air Malta's marketing

Finito amigo, so don't call us we'll call you.... MAYBE!

Wait till they start charging non residents more than the locals like they do on Arriva, another joke. I sincerely thought that that the smart people at Air Malta will drop the extra charge for booking online, but I forget, these people are not so smart after all. Happy new year to all Air Malta employees, especially those that are losing their jobs. For that, you can blame the government, the incompetent management and the unions. Hang in there.

Mr. Carmel Zammit, can't you see that you missed the whole point! I mentioned Luton ( London) on purpopse, to make a point and give an example that to London which usually is more expensive with most airlines, with Ryanair is cheaper! You mentioned other European countries. More reason why Air Malta ticket is definately more expensive. And on check-in surcharge, be informed that Air Malta had introduced it as well. It's 10 euros if you check-in on line and 15 euros if your check-in is done at the Air Malta offices. I must not be misinterpreted as having something against Air Malta. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm just laying the facts as I know them. I am open to be corrected, of course.

Luton is nowhere near London. In fact it is at least 55km from London. Ryan Air cannot compete with any other airline from Heathrow and Gtawick where most other airlines and routes fly/are based from. In fact Ryan Air's ability to compete with all other airlines at these airports is zero since they don't even fly frome these hubs. It's the same with nearly all other European airports (where the majority of people want to fly to/from) where they are nowhere to be seen.

What a coincidence? I don't see London Heathrow either! As a matter of fact I don't see London Gatwick either. Is that because the competition is weak? Also please see the small print? " Conditions may apply." And how many seats are offered at that price? Try calling Air Malta at 2166 2211 for these reservation after the first of the year and see what kind of a response you will get?

''Air Malta is offering clients 14 destinations from as little as 99 euros. Wow! Big deal! Who does Air Malta think it's kidding? I ask all those who are in any way interested to Google Ryanair's site and check the fares for yourselves. For example: I tried booking from Malta to Luton (London) return - it costs, total, 73. 58 euros and this including levy and online check-in!

Dec 30th 2011, 14:46
francis comparing 99 euros with your 73.58 i will defo choose airmalta !
for example dont forget to add transport costs to your sum as Ryanair cater only within outer city airports not to mention other hidden costs such as luggage expenses

In case you did not notice Air Malta's discounted flights are to Rome, Milan, Paris, Berlin, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Athens, Munich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Manchester and St. Petersburg. Do you see Luton by any chance? And then did u also add Ryanair's surcharge for checked-in luggage?

These are offers that will be of interest to mainly gamblers and risk-takers.....bankers for example!Sorry as I wasn't thinking clearly as in this instance this would involve bankers using their own money and not other peoples' as is the norm.
