Id-Dar tal-Providenza, the home for people with physical and mental disability, is calling on the public to give a donation during its annual 15-hour fundraising marathon on Sunday.

The Siġġiewi home, which needs €3.6 million a year to operate, hosts about 100 residents and provides a respite service to some 50 families.

The public are on Sunday invited to visit the complex and an exhibition to commemorate the 100 years from the birth of Mgr Mikiel Azzopardi, who founded the complex in 1965.

The marathon will start at 9 a.m. and will be broadcast on RTK and other stations. Donations may be made on: 5160 2012 (for €10); 5170 2013 (€15); 5180 2014 (€25) and 5061 8922 (€7).
