BRIFFA. On December 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDWARD, of Sliema, residing at Ta’ Xbiex, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, née Camilleri, his children Diana and her husband Daniel Camilleri, Debbie and her husband Melvin Atanasio, his sister Laura, widow of Peter Cockill, his brother Alfred and his wife Rose, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.15 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. LUPI. On December 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, LEWIS, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church, surrounded by his children and close relatives. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosemarie, née Busuttil, his children, Carmen and her husband George Pace, Christine and her husband Gordon Mifsud, Patricia and her partner Michael Sammut, Angele and her husband Martin Caruana, Suzanne and her husband Kevin Magri, Mark and his wife Patricia, his sister Rina Booker, his brother-in-law William Doublet and his sister-in-law Lucy Lupi, together with all his grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.15 p.m. for the Carmelite church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Postal services

The St Julians post office at Lombard Bank in Paceville Road will only accept collection of registered letters, packets and parcels between 1 and 2.30 p.m.

The closest alternatives are the Sliema sub-post office at Malton, 7, Triq Ċensu Scerri and the San Ġwann sub-post office at S.G.S. Stationery, 2, Triq Felice Borg.

Mail from all public letter boxes will be collected at 1 p.m. and the parcel office at the Maltapost head office in Marsa will open between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday. There will be no collection or delivery of mail on Monday. Normal service will resume on Tuesday.
