Top team okmalta.com have made it three titles in a row but had to wait until the very last fixture of the latest MSV Life National League to confirm their success.

They topped the Division One standings on 106 points, six ahead of Fina who were closely followed by Ramis in third place on 99.

At the other end of the table, Gladiators and Salitos were relegated to Division Two.

Their places in the top league will be taken by Division Two winners Supreme and runners-up J. Grima & Sons.

Of the three title challengers, okmalta.com had the most favourable of the week 18 matches, facing bottom side Salitos, while Fina and Ramis played Royal Shock and Turu’s Knights respectively.

The three matches all started according to okmalta.com’s plan, as they won their first game 709-804 while both of their rivals stumbled to opening defeats.

Everything continued to go in the leaders’ favour as they bagged a narrow 753-759 game two win .

That win, plus another matching pair of losing games for Fina and Ramis meant that okmalta.com’s third consecutive title was secured.

Salitos managed a 721-712 game three win for a consolatory two-point share, as did both Fina and Ramis in their respective matches, both ending up 6-2 losers.

Meanwhile, HSBC rounded off their campaign with a 6-2 victory over Gladiators to finish sixth. The Clan also claimed six against Malta Int. Airport to take seventh place.

The new MSV Life National League will commence in January, after the festive break.
