The Church and the Band Clubs' Association have agreed on a series of measures to ensure there is order during village feasts.

Among other measures, it was agreed that indecent dress would not be tolerated and no one would be allowed shirt-less.

It was agreed that banners with offensive or disparaging language would also not be allowed and it will be the responsibility of the band clubs and the police to ensure that the law is observed.

Morning band marches may not last for more than four hours and must not get out of hand.

The marches will not pass in front of rival clubs unless absolutely necessary.

The agreement states that while the church authorities are solely responsible for the liturgical and semi-liturgical celebrations, including the procession, the responsibility for other external celebrations is to be shared between the participating organisations.

Any breach of regulations may lead to the suspension of the band club involved from participation in parish activities. Other measures may be considered according to the gravity of the case.

The agreement comes into force as from Easter.
