Cribs and art exhibition

The third edition of the Christmas Cribs and Art Exhibition was officially opened by the Hon. Dr Mario de Marco, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, the Environment and Culture, and Mr Josef Formosa Gauci, Chief Executive Officer, Malta Tourism Authority. The exhibition is once again housed at the Auberge D’Italie, Merchants Street, Valletta. 
 

The exhibition consists of 40 artistic items all related to the Nativity theme, interpreted in a variety of creative ideas by around 25 artists and artisans. The exhibits include high quality work in various media, such as cork, polystyrene, brass, ceramics, ostrich egg shells, plant installations and floral arrangements amongst others. The exhibition celebrates old Maltese traditions and culture, which have already attracted numerous foreigners to visit. 
 

In addition to this exhibition, there is also a mini photographic exhibition of Maltese landscapes, by Leslie Vella at MTA which were used for the MTA 2012 desk calendar.
 

The exhibition will be open daily until January 6, except for December 25 and January 1. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 6.00pm and Saturdays from 9.00am till 1.00pm.
