Emirates will provide a complimentary UAE visa for guests who choose to stop over in Dubai for less than 36 hours until at least October next year, the airline said. The visa is subject to approval from immigration authorities.

The complimentary visas form part of Emirates’ ‘Dubai Stopovers’ packages, designed to give travellers access to a range of attractive rates on car hire, golf, local tours and safaris. These packages are available to all Emirates passengers and are combinable with all fares, not restricted to any specific class of travel.

Emirates passengers may book the packages on both inbound and outbound legs of their journeys.

Emirates passengers travelling from Malta can book a stopover in Dubai with prices starting from €30 per person, per night (based on double occupancy). Passengers can choose from a full range of hotels and apartments, whether in the city, on the beach, self-catered or five-star luxury.

Dubai Stopover packages include personalised meet-and-assist in Dubai, hotel transfers, breakfast, taxes, service charges and now the 36-hour complimentary visa (terms and conditions apply).

The Dubai Stopover programme began in 1995 to encourage passengers spend some time in Dubai, the home of Emirates Airline.

Emirates flies from Malta to Dubai on a daily schedule via Larnaka, Cyprus. From Dubai, Emirates offers connections to many key cities and tourist destinations, particularly in the Far East, South Africa and Australia.

For further details of the offer and bookings, contact a local travel agent, call the Emirates sales office at Malta International Airport on 2557 7255, or visit www.emirates.com.mt.
