Have you set a budget for your Christmas wardrobe?

Every year I attempt to budget a realistic amount – being a student, I have to. Yet I almost always go over budget. But this year I may actually manage to keep within budget as I just found a gorgeous black dress in my mother’s closet.

Are you planning your outfit for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve?

With everyone doing their Christmas shopping at the same time, sizes and styles run out fast, so planning is a must. Also, I’m taking part in the MADC panto this year so having outfits and accessories sorted is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Still, I haven’t yet decided what to wear over the Christmas period. It may very well be my mum’s little black dress with some bold accessories. For New Year’s Eve, I’m wearing a beige and pink chiffon mini dress with lace accents which I recently bought from Victoria’s Secret.

What about hair and make-up?

I’m not very adventurous when it comes to hair. It’s either up or down, but most likely it will be down for the evening. As for make-up, I like to experiment with new colours and new products – I like to make it noticeable but without overdoing it.

How will you be celebrating Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve?

Christmas is a family affair and we always go traditional with midnight mass followed by the opening of presents. Christmas day is spent stuffing myself with food, while Boxing Day is spent regretting it.

New Year’s Eve will probably start with pre-drinks at a friend’s house and then off to a party at one of the clubs.

How important is the Christmas season for you?

I absolutely love the Christmas season - I love the street decorations, the shops which are fully stocked with temptations, and a cosy atmosphere at home.
