JCI Malta national president Marvin Cuschieri has been elected to Junior Chamber International’s board of directors and named vice-president to Europe.

He is responsible for several countries, including Monaco, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.

JCI elected its international board at the World Congress in Brussels last month. The programme of events included motivational sessions, the annual general assembly, forums and events to share best practices and ideas, and determine the organisation’s future.

Mr Cuschieri is one of the youngest ever board members, and is the second Maltese to ever be elected to the post following Mariella MacLeod (De Battista) in 2001.

More than 4,500 delegates from more than 100 countries attended this year’s event. Mr Cuschieri received the third highest amount of votes from 31 candidates and was one of the only two candidates that received an A grading from the interviewing and election caucus.

Mr Cuschieri, who joined JCI Malta in 2007, heads Malta Enterprise’s Business and Investment Consultancy Unit.
