Sky Club spectacle set for January 27

Six members of the European Boxing Federation (EBF) will be visiting Malta to face six local boxers, an encounter which should present Maltese fans with an exciting and entertaining evening of boxing.

This meeting is set for January 27 and will be staged at the Sky Club in Paceville.

The event is being organised by the EBF in conjunction with Paul Borg, an official European Boxing Federation licensed promoter and manager.

The main bout will be between Maltese heavyweight Billy Corito and Ian Toby, a former UK professional with over 52 professional fights to his credit.

Corito – the Hit Man – now ranks in eighth place in the EBF heavyweight rankings.

The European Boxing Federation, established in 2005, is Great Britain’s and Europe’s largest semi-professional authority. It hosts and officiates over 100 shows per year and currently has over 1,100 registered boxers across Great Britain and Europe at varied levels of skill.

Tickets will be available from the London Butcher, Ponsonby Street, Gżira, as from Monday.
