HSBC Bank Malta has been named Bank of the Year in Malta for 2011 by the Financial Times’ monthly The Banker.

As a winner of The Banker Awards, HSBC Bank Malta received the prestigious Bracken Award. Brendan Bracken was the founding editor of The Banker in 1926 and later the chairman of the modern-day Financial Times from 1945 to 1958.

HSBC Bank Malta chief executive officer Alan Richards said HSBC Bank Malta had delivered a strong performance across all businesses in spite of increasingly difficult market conditions. The Banker Award was a great tribute to the team in Malta.
