• The village of Sta Luċija is celebrating the feast of its patron saint today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. Solemn vespers will be sung at 4 p.m., followed by a procession with the ex-voto statue of St Lucy with the participation of the Leone Band.

• The Betleħem f’Għajnsielem nativity village will be inaugurated today at 4.30 p.m. The ceremony will include a re-enactment of the ‘trip’ of Joseph and Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Entrance is free. Parking space will be available at Għajnsielem football grounds. The village will be open tomorrow and on Wednesday from 9.30 a.m. to noon for schoolchildren and elderly people.

• Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• A fundraising bazaar in aid ofCarolina Cauchi Home will be held at Lourdes Home, Għajnsielem, today from 8.30 a.m. to noon and from 3.30 to 6 p.m.

• The Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts in Għajnsielem will be holding a Christmas exhibition from tomorrow to Friday.

• Heritage Malta will be holding an open day at Ġgantija Temples and at Ta’ Kola Windmill in Xaghraon Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• The Legion of Mary, in collaboration with the Gozo Diocese, Għarb parish and the Anglican Community, will be holding a carol celebration at the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s parish church, Għarb, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Foreign residents of different denominations are welcome.

• Victoria Scout Group will be holding a car treasure hunt on Tuesday, from 2 to 5 p.m., in aid of Philippine missions.

Tickets are available from the Scouts’ headquarters until Wednesday. Adults pay €23 and children up to 12 years pay €12.

• Make Believe, a Disney musical put up and presented by the Bishop’s Conservatory Secondary School, will be staged at the Astra Theatre in Victoria on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door against a donation of €2.50.

• The Victoria Padre Pio Prayer Group will be holding a prayer meeting on Friday at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces, Victoria, at 5.30 p.m. The meeting will start with the rosary, followed by Mass at 6 p.m. After the meeting, members will be invited to a get-together at the friary’s cloister.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will be holding a prayer evening at St Francis church in Victoria on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

• The Leone Grand Christmas Show will be held at the Aurora Theatre in Victoria on Saturday at 8 p.m. Taking part will be the Leone Band, directed by Colin Attard, and singers and dancers from various schools. Tickets are on sale from the Aurora box office for €5.

• “Yesterday, Tomorrow and Today” – A Christmas Carol will be staged at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria next Sunday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets are available from Solid Gold, Valletta, Bargate Bookshop, Victoria, or by e-mailing bargategozo@gmail.com or by calling 9944 7625.

• A crib, put up by Victory Band Club director Ezechiel Grima and volunteers is on show at the Victory Philharmonic Society in Xagħra. The crib will remain open until January 6. Entrance is free. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 6.30 to 11 p.m. On Sundays it will be open from 9 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 11 p.m.
