Bishop Barbara celebrates Mass at Victoria Cathedral

Mgr Emanuel Barbara, OFM Cap, newly-ordained Bishop of Malindi, Kenya, recently celebrated pontifical Mass at the Cathedral in Victoria.

Concelebrating with Mgr Barbara were Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, Garissa Bishop Pawlu Darmanin, the Cathedral Chapter and numerous priests.

The Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis took part.

At the end of Mass, Mgr Barbara was presented with various donations, including €1,000 collected from various benefactors by Carmen Cordina.

Other donations were presented by Marita Cassar, director of Fjur t’Assisi choir and Vince Vella on behalf of the Madonna tal-Grazzja esternal festivities committee.

Michael Caruana presented a gift to Mgr Barbara on behalf of the Leone Philharmonic Society.
