I was one of the 11,000 participants in the President’s Fun Run on Sunday and very much enjoyed the occasion with the spirit of camaraderie that was very evident.

However, I was amazed how the public conveniences in Melita Street, Valletta, were inexplicably closed.

Since I live in Marsa it made sense to visit the one in Argotti Gardens, in Floriana on our way home.

I was most impressed with the spotless condition of the extremely well-run public convenience. It was fully equipped with all requirements. This is not often seen in Malta.

I would like to congratulate Joe Spiteri, one of a team of attendants who happened to be on duty on Sunday.
