The seasonal influenza vaccine is being offered free of charge to the public as from Monday, the Health Division said.

It said influenza is usually more common after the New Year so the first two weeks of December werethe best time to get the vaccine.

The public, including children over the age of six months, may call at the immunisation clinics within the Health Centres during their normal opening hours. They should have their identity cards or the immunisation record book in the case of children.

Community Care Parliamentary Secretary Mario Galea encouraged the public to vaccinate oneself against the seasonal influenza.
