This gingerbread village – created by chef Nicky Vella and his team at the Marina Hotel at the Corinthia Beach Resort – uses nine kilos of white chocolate to coat the structure, 30 kilos of royal icing for the village foot paths and another 12 kilos of icing to attach the gingerbread together. Additionally, 30 kilos of three types of gingerbread were used on the houses and another eight kilos of rock sugar were used to complete the slopes and hills. The village is open for viewing throughout December.
