I think this is rather cruel to expect that the priest should also be an entertainer and a good public speaker.
Surely it is not like that, the audience should be intelligent enough to realize that when they go to church, they go there to hear a message and not to judge the priest as a public speaker. I think it is the ignorance of the audience that should be condemned and not the talents of the priest. Coming from another priest with a flair for public vocifority, I think this is unfair and he should have said something about the ingnorance of the listeners in church who go to he entertained rather than being given a little clue of being good to each other!
