Christmas village set up in Victoria

A Christmas village was held at St George Square in Victoria over the last weekend.

Decorated market stalls, set up by the Victoria council, featured traditional produce, cakes, Christmas baubles and decorations and crafts, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and tin taċ-ċappa (lump of figs) to the tune of Christmas carols by several choirs.

Santa Claus and Santa’s sleigh were quite an attraction for young children.

Crib enthusiasts were also able to follow a papier-maché crib being set up by the Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju (Gozo crib society).
