MCA holds first eBusiness Awards

The Malta Communications Authority (MCA) recently held the first edition of the eBusiness Awards at the Radisson Bay Point Resort, St Julian’s. The awards are aimed at acknowledging innovative local web-based solutions applied by businesses for society at large.

The awards presented were for Best eGovernment Initiative, Best use of technology in education and training, Best eHealth initiative, Best Maltese eCommerce site, Best use of online media, Best B2B supply chain and Best indigenous enterprise of the year

MCA chairman Philip Micallef said this was just another initiative built on the authority’s belief that the experts were none other than businesses themselves.

The winners were: IR Services online for Best eGovernment initiative; MIM EB-Learn for Best use of technology in education and training; bowandribbon.com.mt for Best Maltese e-Commerce site; SMS 4health for Best eHealth initiative; Property Book for Best use of online media, Lufthansa Cargo for Best B2B supply chain; and Seasus Ltd for Best indigenous enterprise of the year and the eBusiness excellence award.
