Roasted chestnuts and mulled wine will be served at the front door of the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard as the Christmas lights are switched on to open the festive season.

The official lighting ceremony on Thursday will be followed by a lavish gala dinner at the historic Villa Corinthia where guests will be entertained by a repertoire of artists, including Dominic Galea and his band and an authentic Russian band of musicians and dancers.

The Corinthia is a chain of hotels founded by the Pisani family. Its portfolio includes luxury properties in various cities worldwide including London, Budapest, Prague, St Petersburg, Lisbon, Tripoli and, of course, Malta.
