Bringing the Christmas spirit to life
December 4th to 26th – Lija
A large live crib is being held in St Andrew’s Street, Lija for the sixth year running in a joint effort between St Andrew’s Social Club and the Lija Local Council. This year promises once again to be an event that brings to life the true spirit of Christmas.
Over 100 locals participate in this annual event which features 12 traditional scenes, including the bakery, traditional carpenter, blacksmith and a mechanical windmill. Water streams through the quaint street, creating a unique experience for visitors. The main focus is the nativity scene, with an emphasis on the word of God which is truly explained in every scene.
The live crib at Lija opens on December 4 and will remain open until December 26, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Opening hours are from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
