Charlotte Gregory has been elected JCI Malta’s new president at the 16th annual general meeting held at the Palace Hotel in Sliema recently.

Ms Gregory said the Malta team aimed to grow JCI Malta’s membership base and continue to empower young people to create a positive change through international opportunities, business networking, social commitment and self development.

A newly elected board was also named.

Jonathan J. Borg is national deputy president and vice-president international, Marvin Cuschieri, immediate past president, Annalisa Schembri, president of Wignacourt responsible for social matters, Matthew Castillo, president of La Vallette (business), Lorinda Mamo, vice president for training, Davinia Portelli, growth and development director, Gavril Flores, communications and PR director, Hermione Portelli, secretary general, and Shirley Vella, treasurer.

At the annual general meeting, 2011 JCI Malta president Marvin Cuschieri received special recognition from Junior Chamber International for his dedication and outstanding service.

JCI Malta was founded in 1994 as an affiliate of JCI International.

This year, JCI Malta organised more than 50 events including the Best Business Plan Competition, Political DAYS project, the annual Business Networking Event, Social Responsibility Days, Training Events, Social Networking Events and Fund Raisings for Nothing but Nets (Africa) and Operation Hope (Japan).
