Dane Williams, the victim of a stabbing incident at Mistra Bay last Saturday, did not turn up to testify in court today and the Magistrate deferred the case to tomorrow so that he can be traced.

Franky Cini, 30, from Żebbuġ in Gozo, has denied seriously injuring Mr Williams, holding him against his will, illegally carrying a knife and relapsing.

Mr Williams turned up in court yesterday wearing a blue hospital gown. He had a scar across his forehead and limped out of the court room when he was told that he would be testifying the following day.

Mr Williams told police inspector Michael Mallia he would be going to the British High Commission because he did not have any clothes, passport or money.
