A Żabbar woman in her early 30s ended up in the sea with her vehicle near Ċirkewwa and was unable to swim ashore at about 8 p.m. yesterday, the Armed Forces of Malta said.

A patrol boat was despatched and assisted the woman out of the water and handed her over to a waiting ambulance. The search and rescue boat, Melita 1 was also dispatched to the area, the AFM said.
