The final Harry Potter picture has won the feature film gong at the British Academy Children’s Awards.
The awards, which celebrate the best children’s film, television, games and online media of the past year, also saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 take the Bafta Kids’ Vote in the film category. Animated television series Peppa Pig won for the second time in the pre-school animation category, while the BBC’s Newsround programme was honoured with a special award presented by the station’s political editor Nick Robinson.
Other presenters the Park Lane Hilton event in London included comedian Jack Whitehall, actor Martin Kemp, Sugababes singer Heidi Range, children’s writer Anthony Horowitz, childcare expert Professor Tanya Byron and Northern Lights actress Dakota Blue Richards.
