Schools with a long-standing commitment to environmental education can be rewarded under BirdLife Malta’s Dinja Wada educational programme.

Schools that also spread the word and encourage others to raise awareness on biodiversity through the programme will qualify for the Blue Banner. Among the criteria to be eligible for the award is that 75 per cent of the school must participate in Dinja Waħda (One World). The environmental awareness project is sponsored by Bank of Valletta and carried out in collaboration with the Directorate for Quality Standards in Education.
