Successful Careers Convention

Last week the eighth edition of the annual Careers Convention was held in the University Quadrangle, jointly organised by Aiesec Malta and the University Students’ Council (KSU). This year’s event was well received by students and company participants.

The concept of the convention is to invite companies to give students an insight into what careers await them beyond the University’s academically-oriented environment.

Students were given the opportunity to visit companies through the stands they set up onto the University campus and to register for possible recruitment.

The students were able to learn more about these companies through write-ups on these companies in the Careers Convention Magazine as well as on the website www.careersconvention.org.

Sessions were also held whereby company professionals delivered presentations relevant to students in particular areas of study.

Interaction between students and the Convention participants also took place through social media platforms.
