Members of the Association of International Women in Malta and their guests were given a glimpse into Malta’s rich history and culture when they were taken on a guided tour of the Magisterial Palace and Parliamentary Chamber in Valletta.

Doris Cusens guided the group around the Palace state rooms, explaining their use over the past 400 years, while Maria Camilleri Calleja explained the history of the House of Representatives and Parliamentary procedure.

The Association of International Women is a voluntary charitable organisation made up of women of many nationalities resident in Malta. Besides being a forum where foreign women make contact, it also holds activities of a social and cultural nature to raise funds for charitable causes.

The association’s last activity was a musical evening at the Casino Maltese on November18, in aid of Puttinu Cares.
