These two sad-looking dogs were abandoned along the Ta’ Ċenċ cliffs in Gozo recently and taken in by a kind soul who cared for them for a few days.

However, the man could not cope and he took them to the Gozo SPCA where he knew they would get the skilled attention they desperately needed.

“The dogs are in a very dirty and neglected state and it is difficult to establish the age, but they would appear to be between five and seven years old,” Gozo SPCA spokesman Betty Berry said.

The dogs are very gentle and quiet and appear to be traumatised by their experience. After the much-needed baths they will undergo a thorough veterinary examination before starting the programme of parasite treatments, vaccinations, micro chipping and neutering.

Gozo SPCA would like to hear from anybody who could identify the tiny dogs. Contact Gozo SPCA through info@spca-gozo.org or call 2155 3769.
