Though the Nationalists have presented many budgets over the years, not even one was actually meant to better the life of the workman.

I would have expected the government to give us a raise of €500 (fat chance) just like Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and his band of merry men had. This was a Budget that did not address the gas cylinder problem, the petrol and diesel problem, the high cost of bread, the water and electricity problem and many others that the Nationalists brought upon us.

So what speciality did this Budget have? Every year people wait for the Budget to arrive but every year we are presented with a Budget that never really addresses the problems of the man in the street.
