A friend of mine lost his job recently. He informed me that as his wife has a job he was deprived from receiving any financial assistance from the Labour Office. He was forced to register as an unemployed only once every a few months at a four category.
A few moths ago a Parliamentary Question revealed that betwenn January and June 2011,10,000 unemployed were cancelled from the unemployment list as such unemployed persons failed to register for once in a week.
As long as such statistics is not published from an independent authority I do not believe such statistics. Nationalists are experts in playing with such figures for propaganda as they did in the past in various statistics.

How many of them are part-timers? That's what counts!

Unlike Spain. Italy and many other European countries, Malta is maintaining its unemployment figures amongst the best on the continent. The best sign possible...something Labour apologists fail to mention and never mentioned on ONE TV and l-Orizzont.

ETC fails to mention in which sectors these persons were employed or could it be that they were simply taken off from the list because they refused a job which they felt they were not good for?
