The European Commission has launched fun Kid's Corner on its Europa website:

From today, children all over Europe and beyond have online access to games, quizzes and information about the EU and the different countries that form part of it, in a new website called Kids' Corner.

The site was launched in English by Vice-President Reding and will be available in a further 21 languages from 21 December.

Kids' Corner is made up of three elements.

Firstly  is a 'games and quizzes' section where children can play fun and educational games created both by DG COMM and other DGs and institutions.

The second section, entitled 'The EU: what's it all about?'  features a clickable map of Europe and fun facts about each EU country.

The third element is 'Check out your rights', a link to DG JUST's website on the rights of the child, incorporating games, videos and information for two age groups.

The new Kids' Corner complements another website run by COMM C1, the Teachers' Corner. It presents a selection of the best teaching material about the EU. Together, the two sites are the core element in DG COMM's effort to keep young people better informed about the EU.
