Malcolm Brinded, left, senior executive of Anglo-Dutch oil and petroleum company Shell, speaks during the signing ceremony of exploration and production sharing agreements between Turkey’s state-owned Turkish Petroleum Corporation and Shell in Ankara yesterday. Turkey signed a deal with Anglo-Dutch energy giant Shell for exploration on Turkish soil and in the Mediterranean Sea that could further stoke tensions with Cyprus.
