Malta business environment showcased in Moscow

Malta Enterprise has just returned from Moscow where it showcased the islands’ business environment at two events for Russian entrepreneurs.

The first, which was organised with the support of the Russian Agency for Small and Medium Business Support, was attended by 45 companies. A second event aimed at larger industries was held with the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Some 20 companies participated.

Malta Enterprise executive chairman Alan Camilleri outlined the benefits for Russian firms. Particular focus was placed on the possibility of entering neighbouring markets through Malta, which has become a regional hub within the entire Euro-Med area. The fiscal and financial assistance available for investors setting up in the country were outlined.

Malta Enterprise recently appointed a regional leader to Russia who will facilitate and strengthen commercial ties between the countries and attract further interest from Russia to Malta.
