Woman critical after fall

An 85-year-old woman is fighting for her life after she fell down the stairs in her Qormi home.

Her neighbours told the police they heard calls for help from her house yesterday at about 8 a.m.

The police found her lying at the bottom of the staircase leading to the roof. She was taken to hospital in a critical state.

There was no suspicion of foul play.
