A 37-year-old woman from Kirkop was this morning conditionally discharged for three years after she admitted to theft and handling stolen property.

Mariella Monreal admitted stealing €1,052 worth of items from Marks and Spencer in Sliema and €656 worth of costume jewellery from Claire's at the Malta International Airport departures lounge.

Veronique Dalli and Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
