The University’s Euro Centre for Educational Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health and St Margaret College are organising a seminar for educators, support and mental health professionals and policy makers on ‘Building Resilience in Schoolchildren’.

The seminar will be held at St Margaret College Kalkara primary on December 7 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The seminar will present the findings of a study on social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and pro-social behaviour in Maltese primary schools, identifying both windows of vulnerability and opportunity for young children.

Participants will be given a copy of the research report just published.

The seminar will also present the work being undertaken at St Margaret College to pro-mote positive behaviour and psychological wellbeing among students.

In the second part of the seminar, Erika Ferrario from the University of Milan Bico-cca will lead a session on how educators can develop social and emotional literacy themselves as part of their professional development.

Attendance is free. For more details and registration contact stmargaret.college@gov.mt.
