Hotel’s nine-day charity marathon

A nine-day marathon of family activities, including an exhibition of photographs and ceramics, and a painting session by artists, is being held at the Cavalieri Hotel, St Julian’s, between Saturday and December 4.

Proceeds from the sale of art works will go towards the Malta Community Chest Fund’s L-Istrina fund-raising campaign.

Mark Camilleri, general manager of the Cavalieri Hotel, said the marathon was part of the hotel management and staff’s commitment to support L-Istrina which aims to improve the lives of children, individuals and families within the community.

The nine-day event will also include a football festival, a beach clean-up, dancing and cooking lessons, Zumba classes, a biker’s ride, a tug-of-war, a pool table marathon, a pets’ walk, an animal blessing ceremony, a fishing competition, an ‘across the bay’ swim, a two-day food market, a live bandmarathon, and a wine and beer festival.

Popular show business personalities, including the cast of the TV series Deċeduti, the satirical show Zoo and others, will turn up at the various events.
