• The feast of Christ the King will be marked today with a celebration in front of the Good Shepherd church, Taċ-Ċawla, Victoria. A cortege will leave Taċ-Ċawla area at 4 p.m. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will deliver a message. In case of bad weather, the function will be held at Xewkija parish church.

• Fondazzjoni Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem, in collaboration with the Gozo Emergency Response and Rescue Corps, will be holding an Open Day today, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., at Ta’ Passi, where a number of activities will take place.

• A fundraising dinner in aid of the Seminary will be held at the Seminary today at 6.30 p.m. Tickets can be obtained from the Seminary (tel: 2155 6479), the Seminary Dames or the Friends of the Seminary.

• Battle Los Angeles will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be held today at 6.15 a.m., 8.30, 10, 11.15 and 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be the recitalof the rosary, followed by Eucharistic benediction.

• The Oasi Foundation, in collaboration with the Gozo Ministry and National Youth Council, will be holding the 19th edition of Youth of the Year Award under the patronage of President George Abela at Ta’ Ċenċ Hotel, Sannat, on Saturday at 6 p.m. Those who would liketo make a reservation may call2156 3333 by Wednesday.

• The Directorate for Lifelong Learning will be holding a meeting on the scholarship scheme: ‘Strategic Educational Pathways Scholarships’ (STEPS) at the Gozo Centre for Art and Craftsin Għajnsielem on Friday at6 p.m. Interested candidatesin possession of a first degree honours (minimum second class) or a general degree (second class) and a Post Graduate Diploma may apply for the scheme. Applications close on November 30.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will be holding a prayer evening at Fontana parish church on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at 7 p.m.

• The Social Action in Movement (Gozo) will be holding a public lecture on ‘Ethics in the media’ by former editor of The Sunday Times Laurence Grech at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria onSaturday at 10 a.m.

• A fundraising concert, entitled ‘Nostalgia night – music and art’, will be held at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. The concert is being organised by the Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo. Entrance is free but donations will be welcomed.

• The Gozo Creative Theatre Club, in collaboration with the Gozo Culture and Information Office within the Gozo Ministry, will stage ‘Spring’s Awakening’ at the Citadel Centre for Culture and Arts, Victoria, on Saturday and next Sunday at 7.30 p.m. Entrance is free. Seating will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

• The Għaqda Il-Milied fix-Xagħra will be holding a talk on how to construct and paint features in the Christmas nativity scene, using recycled expanded polystyrene and plaster, at the Xagħra Youth Centre, Triq 28 t’April 1688, next Sunday at 9.30 a.m.
