Mick Hollis won the underwater category in the ‘Spot the Jellyfish’ photography competition with a photo of a comb jelly (Leucothea multicornis), a species normally highly elusive and difficult to photograph. Karl Consiglio won the shallow-water/land category with a photo of two mauve stingers.

The awards were presented by Awni Behnam, International Ocean Institute president, and Alan Deidun from the IOI - Malta Operational Centre, during the launch of the seventh IOI course on ocean governance.
