Representatives from four HSBC corporate customers – Alberta Group, Gasan Group of Companies, Simonds Farsons Cisk and Vivendo Group – recently attended a two-day trade summit in Hamburg, which focused on the present and future shifts in world trade and the growth opportunities these changes offer, particularly in emerging markets such as Brazil, India and China.

A number of stakeholders, from HSBC trade specialists, to businesses, governmental bodies and think-tanks were brought together. The Maltese companies present had the opportunity to network and establish contacts for potential business with other HSBC corporate customers worldwide.

“HSBC understands how the business world is changing globally and can help connect businesses to a world of opportunities,” said Michel Cordina, head of HSBC Malta’s Commercial Banking.

“Through the bank’s global presence we can support our commercial customers in carrying out business in new markets.”
