Three stole hotel cash

Three Romanian men who stole €200 from a hotel in Gżira on Tuesday were yesterday placed under probation for one year.

Vasile Caldararu, 20, Mures Petrache, 28 and Mihai Florica, 32, who are all living at a hotel in Paceville, stopped their car outside the Waterfront Hotel, walked inside and stole the money from a cash register. As they were making their getaway, a hotel employee took the registration number of the car they were in. They were caught just over an hour later by the police mobile squad.

They pleaded guilty.
