The government has shown renewed faith in independent schools by putting into place new initiatives, and further developing others, that will ultimately be of benefit to all stakeholders, students, parents and teachers, the Independent Schools association said.
In its reaction to the budget, the ISA said that while more needed to be done in the coming years, these measures would help the sector continue providing the excellent service it was known for.
"The ISA will continue to strive to bring about a just and proportionate level of assistance. It welcomes this budget as a further move towards the creation of a level playing field where all sectors develop and where parents really do have a choice," it said.
