KPMG Malta recently appointed Donald Tabone as associate director within the advisory services division of the firm. Mr Tabone joins KPMG with over 15 years experience in the field of information technology during which time he has held several technical hands-on and managerial positions with both foreign and local organisations.
Since 2007, Mr Tabone has lectured and mentored students in information security and computer forensics and has addressed executives from national entities and private organisations on related topics.
Besides holding a number of certifications in information security and computer forensics, Mr Tabone has an honours degree in computing and information systems and is currently reading for a Masters in Law in IT and Telecommunications from the University of Strathclyde.
In line with KPMG’s upcoming Fifth IT Governance Forum which will be focusing on information security governance, Mr Tabone will be leading a number of initiatives to assist clients implement appropriate information security strategies. Through these initiatives, KPMG aims to raise information security awareness and help protect data and information assets through the application of best practices.
