The National Museum of Fine Arts will next year move to the Auberge d’Italie in Merchants Street, Valletta, which currently houses the Malta Tourism Authority.

Describing this as a show of the government’s determination to putting artistic and creative expression at the centre of the country’s cultural regeneration, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said €200,000 would be spent on the project.
