Corinthia appoints GM for St George's Hotel

Corinthia Hotels have appointed Stuart Chappell as general manager of the five-star Corinthia Hotel St George's Bay in St Julian's.

Mr Chappell had a long career in the hospitality industry in the UK and more recently China, where he was general manager of the 440-room five-star Guoman Hotel Beijing. In China, he was general manager of the 1,000-room Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch, London, with additional responsibility for the 700-room Thistle Marble Arch, London.

Corinthia COO Liam Lambert said Mr Chappell's successful track record in leading both business and leisure hotels internationally guaranteed that Corinthia Hotel St George's Bay would continue to achieve growth and meet its targets in all market segments.

The Corinthia Hotel  St George's Bay boasts extensive conference and leisure facilities, including the Apollo Day Spa.
